From the day
Perspective: The Anxious Local · Tactile
I gripped the rough, polyester collar of my discount windbreaker, staring at the $3.27 gas sign until my eyes burned; everything feels so sketchy lately with the news saying the internet won't even pay the bills. I reached into my bag to touch the slick, hard plastic of the *Up* keychain I bought, humming that heartbreaking theme song just to keep from crying about my dwindling savings. Omg, the fake fur on this Zhu Zhu Pet I’m holding for my nephew feels so thin and cheap, like everything else in this shaky economy. I hope it doesn't break before I get home.
