I’m just trying to ignore her and text back a "rawr" to my crush while the radiator hisses like a dying snake in the corner of my room. Everything feels so loud today, from the screech of tires on the slushy street outside to the frantic chirping of my sister’s Zhu Zhu Pet skidding across the linoleum. I’ve got my headphones jammed in to drown it all out, wishing I could just teleport into a movie theater for the new Madea flick and escape this winter funk.
