From the day
Perspective: The Anxious Local · Sound
The radio is a constant headache, blaring Leona Lewis’s "Bleeding Love" between grim reports of more city council nepotism and gas prices creeping up to nearly $3.30 a gallon. I can barely afford the gas to drive past the theater, where everyone’s lining up for *Baby Mama* while I’m stuck worrying about the rising price of a loaf of bread. Honestly, hearing about politicians putting their relatives on the payroll is just way too much tmi about how this city actually runs. It makes my heart race even faster than the static hum of all these new smartphones everyone is staring at lately.
