From the day
Perspective: The Street Photographer · Sound
The slush on Broadway is turning grey, but the girls in Apple Bottom jeans are still strutting to the tinny rattle of "Low" leaking from cheap white earbuds. I’m bracing my Leica against the wind while a kid nearby won't shut up about the new Google Android and his invite for that Swedish music thing, Spotify; if his battery dies, honestly, you're fired from the future in my book. The air smells like overpriced Valentine’s chocolate and bus exhaust, thick enough to clog my lungs while I wait for the light to change. Everyone’s distracted, heads down, praying for the App Store or a faster browser like Chrome to finally drop so they can escape this freezing street and vanish into their palms forever.
