From the day
Perspective: The Teenager · Tactile
I’m hunched over in the backseat, the friction of my cheap polyester hoodie rubbing against the cold leather as I try to master the Soulja Boy snap before the World Series starts. My thumb keeps hovering over the smooth, glass revolutionary screen of my new iPhone, but the battery is already dying and honestly, my mom’s constant nagging about my data usage is such TMI. We pull into the station and I groan, watching the digital numbers on the pump climb until they hit $2.27, a total rip-off that’s definitely eating into my movie ticket money for the new *Saw* flick this weekend. I just want to get home, plug in, and check my notifications before the Rockies get absolutely wrecked by the Sox.
