From the day

The bass from a passing Lexus rattles my viewfinder as Ludacris blares "Money Maker," competing with the digital chime of a kid’s handheld. I lean against a newsstand plastered with "Consumers Signal Change in ’08 Election," wondering if the folks buying expensive lattes really have the "truthiness" to shift the political tide. Groups of college kids in low-rise denim huddle on the corner, shouting "brb!" over the screech of city buses while arguing about the new Wii. I frame a shot of a businessman checking his Blackberry, the cold November wind whipping his tie as the smell of exhaust blends with the crisp autumn air.
