From the day
Perspective: The Teenager · Tactile
I’m slouching on the bus, my fingers raw from gripping a rubbery Wii Remote at Brandon’s place, scrolling through my tiny phone screen to see what my peeps are posting on that weird new Twitter site. My baggy polyester mesh jersey sticks to the vinyl seat while "London Bridge" blares through my cheap plastic earbuds, the bass rattling my skull as I ignore the sketchy dude in the back. I’m staring out at the construction near Lincoln Center, wondering if this new AWS cloud thing is why my downloads are so slow, or if I'm just stuck in a laggy world. My thumb is itching to get back to the console’s smooth white plastic, but for now, I’m just vibing in the humid August heat.
