From the day
Perspective: The Street Photographer · Sound
The shutter clicks over a sea of low-slung jeans and graphic tees as "Bad Day" blares from a passing SUV, competing with the roar of a street corner argument about the new Wii. I stop at the bodega to check the shelf, and *omg*, I’m down to my last few coins just because a simple loaf of bread hit $1.12 today. The light hits a trio of guys in oversized hoodies talking about moving from infield campers to sleek trackside condos, their voices sharp against the hum of a city obsessed with the new Twitter feed. I reload my film, ignoring the "Scary Movie 4" posters peeling off the brick, capturing the grit of a Thursday that feels like it’s moving faster than my lens can track.
