From the day

Perspective: The Street Photographer · Sound

The shutter clicks on a girl in oversized sunglasses and Ugg boots, her chiffon layers fluttering against the chilling November wind as Chris Brown’s "Run It!" blares from a passing SUV. I check the pump at the corner station and wince at the $2.27 display, realizing a few more rolls of film might mean walking home instead of catching the bus. If any of these blurry-eyed tourists tries to block my shot of the Xbox 360 launch line again, I’m telling them "you’re fired" and moving to a less sketchy block. Everything feels fast today, from the skinny jeans tucked into boots to the frantic buzz of everyone hunting for that new console.
