From the day
Perspective: The Street Photographer · Sound
The heavy bass of "Gold Digger" rattles the trunk of a passing sedan, competing with the shutter click of my Canon as I tilt the lens toward a girl in oversized sunglasses and sheepskin Uggs. She’s layered in airy chiffon and tight denim, looking effortlessly boho-chic against the grit of the subway entrance. I glance at the theater across the street, where a massive, neon-lit poster for *Doom* looms over the sidewalk; the line looks a bit sketchy after dark, so I keep my camera close. The air smells like overpriced fuel and cheap coffee as a group of kids nearby argues loudly about the new Xbox 360 specs.
