From the day
Perspective: The Street Photographer · Sight
The flash of my Leica catches the glare of oversized sunglasses and layered chiffon as a girl in Ugg boots checks Google Maps on her phone, lost under the neon hum of the theater marquee. *Gold Digger* blares from a passing SUV, vibrating the pavement where headlines about the Albertson’s auction flutter in the gutter near a line of kids camping out for an Xbox 360. I need to swap my film before the light dies, so I’ll be brb to catch the "scene" kids in their skinny jeans prowling for the *Doom* midnight showing. Between the jittery glow of a nearby laptop streaming a grainy YouTube clip and the sharp smell of rain on denim, the city feels like a blurred silhouette waiting to be developed.
