From the day
Perspective: The Teenager · Tactile
The rough denim of my new skinny jeans digs into my hips as I sprawl on the floor, my fingers tracing the sleek, cool plastic of the Xbox 360 controller while "Candy Shop" thumps through my tinny computer speakers. I’m trying to ignore the TV in the corner where some guy named Sharon is asking the U.S. to pressure Iran about their nukes, but the whole vibe feels seriously sketchy and way too heavy for a Wednesday. I just want to lace up my suede Uggs and disappear into a bag of chips before my peeps get back online. I pull at the frayed chiffon hem of my layered tank top, wondering if world leaders ever stop stressing out long enough to actually live.
