From the day

Perspective: The Anxious Local · Sight

The gas station sign just ticked up to $2.27, and I swear I can see my bank account draining behind my oversized sunglasses. Everywhere I look, girls are tripping over their Ugg boots while clutching posters for that new Xbox 360, but who has three hundred dollars to spend on a toy when bread is over a buck a loaf? The glare of the neon "Now Playing" sign for *Sahara* is giving me a migraine, and I need to get home and check the news before I lose my mind. I’m going to tell my sister brb and log off this nightmare; the world feels like it’s getting too expensive to even breathe in.
