From the day
Perspective: The Teenager · Sight
I’m squinting through the grainy screen of my new camera phone, trying to capture the neon glow of the mall as my peeps launch their Beyblades across the linoleum. Everything looks like a blurry dream of low-rise jeans and oversized hoodies, while Nelly’s "Dilemma" echoes off the glass storefronts. My stomach is growling, but I’ve only got a handful of change left in my pocket. It’s sketchy that a basic loaf of bread costs $1.03 now, leaving me totally broke and unable to even grab a snack before the movie starts.
