From the day
Perspective: The Teenager · Sight
I’m hunched over my desk staring at the rolling green hills of the **Windows XP** wallpaper, waiting for **Wikipedia** to load so I can cheat on my summer reading before heading to the mall for *American Pie 2*. My older brother’s screaming at the **Xbox** again, but I’ve got Alicia Keys cranked so loud on my **iPod** that his voice just fades into the bass. Under these humming neon lights, my low-rise flare jeans feel way cooler than my sister’s lame Bratz dolls draped over the sofa. I told my peeps I’m skipping the beach since the grass is basically straw anyway; the heat is brutal, but honestly, **the tribe has spoken** and we’re meeting at the food court.
