From the day
Perspective: The Future Historian · Tactile
The rough plaid of my skirt brushes against knee-high socks as I sit on the floor, the click-clack of plastic Pogs echoing through the room. My brother, that total slacker, is obsessed with the new Java programming language while the Windows 95 startup chime hums in the background. I run a finger over the smooth satin of my tiny backpack, imagining a future where we’ll bid on treasures in cyberspace on eBay rather than scouring the mall. For now, I just crave the high-density digital weight of those rumored new DVD discs, a tactile promise of a clearer world.
