From the day
Perspective: The Street Photographer · Sight
The flash of my Leica catches the neon glare reflecting off a passing bicycle patrol, their spokes humming against the damp pavement while kids in oversized flannel shirts linger near the box office. Everyone is lining up for *The Last of the Mohicans*, the epic silhouettes on the posters mirroring the stoic, rugged faces of the commuters dodging puddles in their Doc Martens. A stray gust of autumn wind kicks up a discarded newspaper, but the grainy headline is a total buzzkill compared to the vibrant silk windbreakers blurring past my lens. I adjust my aperture to frame a group of teenagers clutching plush purple dinosaurs, their laughter nearly drowning out the soulful harmonies of Boyz II Men drifting from a nearby storefront.
