From the day
Perspective: The Teenager · Sound
The static on my radio finally gives way to the smooth harmonies of Boyz II Men, their voices dripping like honey over the heavy bass of my speakers. I’m leaning against the brick wall outside the theater, trying to figure out if Sarah wants to see *Honeymoon in Vegas* tonight or if she’s just going to keep talking about some weird new "cyberspace" chat room she found. The air smells like exhaust and hot asphalt as a rusted sedan rattles past, blaring a tinny beat that competes with the chatter of the sidewalk. I just want to drown it all out, sink into the velvet seats, and forget about the news crews filming the wreckage down south.
