From the day
Perspective: The Street Photographer · Sight
The flash of my Leica catches the sharp shoulder pads of a woman rushing through the Discount District, her silhouette framed by the harsh winter sun and neon signage. I stop to snap a kid sitting on a stoop, his thumbs twitching frantically over a gray Game Boy as he ignores the world for that tiny green screen. Between the headlines about some new proposal for a "World Wide Web" and the local chatter about civilian GPS, everything feels like it’s accelerating toward a strange, digital horizon. It’s an awesome time to be behind the lens, capturing an era where silk ties meet grit, just before it all changes forever.
