From the day
Perspective: The Street Photographer · Tactile
The slush on 42nd Street ruins the hem of every wool oversized coat I frame, but the city finally feels lighter, less brittle under my thumb. I step past a guy in a stiff nylon bomber jacket humming that "Axel F" theme from *Beverly Hills Cop*, his breath huffing white clouds into the frozen air. I adjust my focus on a kid clutching a plastic bag, his thumb tracing the sharp, molded edges of a Nintendo box through the thin film. The grit of the sidewalk feels less like a threat today; everyone just needs to chill and let the neon lights bleed into the dusk.
