From the day
Perspective: The Street Photographer · Sight
The flash of my Leica catches the neon glare reflecting off a girl’s spandex leggings and the thick, cable-knit texture of her leg warmers as she rushes toward the subway. I pause by a newsstand where a stack of heavy ink screams **FOR REAGAN, A CROSSFIRE**, the black headlines bleeding into the gray slush of a cold Manhattan morning. I adjust my lens, capturing a businessman in an oversized sweatshirt who almost knocks over my tripod. I’ll be back tomorrow for the light at dawn, but for now, the city is just a blur of athletic silhouettes and the tinny echo of "Karma Chameleon" drifting from a passing transistor radio.
