From the day

Perspective: The Teenager · Tactile

I’m slouching in this stiff denim jacket, picking at the fraying sleeves while my brother brags about that massive Motorola DynaTAC 8000X his boss just got. He says the new TCP/IP standard is going to change the world, but I’m just trying to figure out how to boot up Microsoft Word on the school’s clunky computer without breaking a sweat. It’s totally dope how the heavy nylon of these new Cabbage Patch Kids feels so different from my old plastic dolls. I just kick back, crank "Down Under" on the radio, and let the scratchy wool of my sweater keep the winter chill away.
