From the day
Perspective: The Street Photographer · Sound
The heavy click of my shutter snaps against the synth-heavy pulse of "Abracadabra" blaring from a passerby’s silver boombox. I’m dodging a kid on a skateboard who nearly knocks my Leica out of my hand—honestly, his neon leg warmers and clashing windbreaker are so tacky they make me want to say, "barf me out." I duck into the corner bodega to escape the grit of the midday traffic, digging through my pockets for a lone **$0.50** to grab a loaf of white bread for a quick sandwich. Across the street, a storefront display for the new Commodore 64 glows with a hum that sounds like the future, a sharp contrast to the grim headlines about Beirut plastered all over the morning papers.
