From the day
Perspective: The Street Photographer · Sound
The humid August heat clings to the polyester shirts of businessmen rushing past my lens, their heels clicking like metronomes against the pavement. I’m trying to focus the Leica on a kid clutching a new He-Man figure, but a newsstand headline about a **NEW ROLE IN INVESTING FOR QUEBEC** keeps catching the sun and flaring my frame. "Endless Love" blares from a passing transistor radio, nearly drowning out a broker shouting at a cabbie to "take a chill pill" after a near-miss. Between the roar of the city and the smell of cheap exhaust, the world feels loud, expensive, and perpetually in a hurry.
